New Pet Society Items – September 19th September 19, 2010

This week in Pet Society, the trip to Japan continues and our pets will also visit China!

In the outdoor shop, the “just arrived” items are a Japanese garden flower pot and a luminous tree with Chinese lanterns.

The “one week only” items are a Japanese garden parasol, Chinese early autumn garden table and stool, Japanese shrine gate, and a Japanese garden bench.  The parasol and garden bench wound look a lot nicer without the pink slime on them…I guess the slime is supposed to be cherry blossom petals?

In the mystery shop, there’s a Japanese garden mystery egg machine.

Also, please note that it’s the last week to buy mystery eggs from the stone age mystery egg machine.

In the market, the “one week only” items are a lotus painting and a buttercup plushie. The “just arrived” item is a tanuki plushie.

The limited edition item for coins is sashimi boat. The new collaborative item is a pawpaw revolution dance arcade.

In the food shop, you can buy a pink icecream mooncake and a chocolate pet mooncake.

In the clothing shop girl sections, the “just arrived” items are from the Pet Society Fall 2010 Collection. The clothing was designed by players as part of the fashionista competition. There’s the Le Rock & Chic Ensemble, the Autumn Bloom Outfit, Sweet Starry Night Pajama Outfit, Lord of the Bunnies Outfit, and Urban Chic Outfit. Aren’t they great!?

In the DIY store, the “one week only” item is the Chinese evening stone floor and the “just arrived” item is the Chinese evening orchard wallpaper..

Also “just arrived” is the Japanese tea room alcove.

My favorite items are the new plushies.  I love the new clothes too!

Do you like this week’s items? Which ones are your favorites? Least favorites?

As I posted earlier today, Momo made a bunch of burgers from the Build a Burger mystery egg items in Pet Society.  Tonight, when I logged into the game, my burgers were collapsing, and layers were out of place. The tomatoes and crowns have fallen.

This is how my burgers looked this morning:

This is how they look now:

Are your burgers glitchy too?  Or is it just mine that are misbehaving?

Momo’s been buying eggs from the new Build a Burger mystery egg machine in Pet Society.  A single egg costs 200 coins, and you can get bonus eggs for buying 4 or 10 eggs at a time.

Inside the eggs, you can find the following 19 items:

Happy Burger Bun
Shocked Burger Bun
Cute Burger Bun
Sad Burger Bun
Confident Burger Bun
Bottom Burger Bun
Pink Bottom Burger Bun
Ketchup Burger
Cheese Burger
Grilled Sausage
Fried Chicken
Sliced Tomato
Cheese and Herbs
Mozzarella
Green Salad
Top Flag
Top Cherry Tomato
Top Crowns
Top Olives

If you find all of the 19 build a burger items above, you’ll receive the Cherry Tomatoes as a completion reward!

The burger buns have the cutest faces, and they’re animated!  Momo cooked a lot of burgers.  Hideeni smelled the delicious burgers cooking and stopped by for dinner!

After all that cooking, Momo decided to throw a party for her friends.

Has your pet build a burger?  If so, please share a picture  in the Pet Society World Flickr Group. If you aren’t a member already, click here for details on how to join and post pictures to the group.

I hope you’re hungry for new items in Pet Society this week.

In the furniture store, there’s a sign for a new limited item that will appear tomorrow. The “one week only” items are the fast food counter, the fast food window view, and the fast food low table.

The “just arrived” items are the red kitchen bundle, which includes a set of kitchen items.  You can also individually buy the red kitchen counter, shelf, bench, table, fridge, pot, fruit basket, cooker, and stool, a strawberry juice dispenser, and a cold drink basket.

In the mystery shop, there’s a new Build a Burger mystery egg machine.

In the food shop, the “one week only” item is the fast food takeaway, and the “just arrived” item is the big orange cake.

In the clothing shop girl’s section, ask your friends to help you build the casual bunch wig (collaborative).  The “one week only” items are the updo wig, blue apron outfit, and the pink strawberry chef bundle.

In the boys’ section, the “just arrived” items are a red strawberry chef bundle, and a red chef hat and uniform

In the accessories section, the “just arrived” item is a pair of red headphones.

In the DIY store, the “one week only” items are the fast food orange wallpaper, fast food beige wallpaper, and the fast food beige floor. The “just arrived” items are the restaurant terrace wallpaper, fast food green wallpaper, and the fast food blue floor.

I like the Build a Burger mystery egg machine, but I’m not crazy about the other items this week.  I might buy a few kitchen items, since I like the color red..but Momo doesn’t even have a kitchen in her house right now, so maybe not.

What do you think? Do you like this week’s items? Which ones are your favorites? Least favorites?

This week, Pet Society has items with a fantasy theme!

In the outdoor shop, there’s a magic warrior statue, which is the latest collaborative item. I’m glad it takes fewer clicks than the hippo that Momo never got to finish building. 😦

The “one week only” items are an enchanted crystal decor and an enchanted crystal rock.

The “just arrived” items are the enchanted portal and the enchanted floating crystal.

In the furniture store, the “one week only” item is the mage chair. The “just arrived” items are the mage table and the alchemist’s bottle.

In the mystery shop, there’s the new build-a-plushie mystery egg machine. Check out this post for the items inside the build-a-plushie mystery eggs.

In the market, there are “just arrived” items, the Pirate’s Ahoy parrot plushie and the baby dragon plushie.  I love the plushie!!

The “just arrived” items are the mysterious chest and the alchemist’s bottle.

In the food shop, there’s nothing new this week.

In the clothing shop girl’s section,  the “just arrived” items are the fantasy warrior dress and shoes.

In the boys’ section, the “one week only” items are the fantasy warrior top, pants, and boots.

In the accessories section, there are two limited items on the way. The just arrived item is the jubble ring.

In the hair stylist, The “just arrived” items are the mussed hair wig and the long ponytail wig.

In the DIY store, the “one week only” item is the fantasy rocky wall, and the “just arrived” item is the  fantasy rocky floor.

There’s also a fantasy rocky door and a fantasy rocky window.  Both look enormous!

Do you like this week’s items? Which ones are your favorites? Least favorites?

Pet Society Build-a-Plushie Mystery Eggs August 6, 2010

In the new mystery box/egg screen, you can purchase the brand new Build-a-Plushie mystery egg. Momo blew a lot of coins to complete the set and was awarded a pink bunny.

If you complete the full set, click the green button on the side.  You might receive an error saying you can’t claim the completion reward, but don’t worry, the “pink bunny base” will be in your inventory.

Here are the plushies Momo made.  They only sit on the floor, and you can’t place them on shelves or chairs.

Have you built a plushie?

Pet Society Mystery Box/Egg Updates – August 6th

There’s a brand new mystery box and mystery egg feature.  It’s hard to get used to the changes.  I tried the new feature out this afternoon, and think it has both good and bad points.

One of the negative points is that the feature has added more clutter to the playing screen.

By clicking the new button, you can look at all your mystery items (unfortunately, the names of the items aren’t included). I think it’s a plus that we can see how many items of certain sets that we’re missing.

You can buy mystery boxes/eggs from the new screen or from the store. Purchases from the store  will also pull up the new screen.  For buying 3 or 10 gold boxes, you’ll receive free boxes with your purchase. That’s a nice new feature (though I’ll miss my old method of buying six boxes at a time)!

Our pets can’t open the boxes/eggs by themselves anymore.  Now you can only open boxes and eggs through this mystery egg/box screen. The mystery items you open will appear on the left side of the screen. Unfortunately, the name of the mystery items are nowhere to be found while opening boxes. While you can brag about or gift the new item, you can’t sell the item.  I think a selling feature would be far more useful than bragging (a feature I’ll never use)!

I bought a bunch of mystery boxes today, and I didn’t find a single item that re-sold for 999 coins!  I think that trying to find new mystery items is near impossible, and I’m really sad that the probability of finding junk is so so much higher than finding valuable items. I don’t think mystery box hunting is nearly as much fun as it used to be. 😦

Well, here’s my summary of  positive and negative points for the new mystery item feature.

Positives
Ability to see all mystery items classified in one screen
Bonuses when purchasing certain quantities of boxes/eggs

Negatives
Finding new or valuable items is nearly impossible after the update
Mystery item names are not available in the list or after opening a box/egg (how will we find new items in our inventory if we don’t know their names?)
Inability to sell new or old mystery items through this feature (it would be great to be able to sell duplicate mystery items easily)
New icon adds more clutter on the playing screen
Pets are not involved in opening boxes/eggs
Feature would be more useful if incorporated into the inventory chests, so that we could find and interact with items from a certain set, instead of just viewing them.

I used to love opening mystery boxes, but these updates took the fun out of opening mystery boxes.  Momo lost far more coins than usual, and didn’t find any nice items today.

What do you think?

A new mystery egg machine was introduced in the mystery shop in Pet Society a bit over a week ago.  It contains Fun Park Mystery Eggs.  Each egg costs 600 coins.

Here are pictures of the 15 mystery items that you can find in the egg. There are 12 decorative items and three clothing items (the cotton candy falls in your pet’s clothing inventory because your pet can hold the cotton candy).  Here’s a picture of all 15 Fun Park mystery items:

Here are the re-sale values of each of the items:

Park Mascot – 266 coins
Colorful Elephant Plushie – 333 coins
Green Octopus Plushie – 299 coins
Pink Dog Plushie – 299 coins
Fun Park Wallpaper – 499 coins
Fun Park Floor – 199 coins
Park Entrance – 266 coins
Game Booth – 299 coins
Prize Stand – 199 coins
Fun Park Cutout – 233 coins
Park Trash Can – 166 coins
Bumper Car – 216 coins
Park Staff Uniform Top – 133 coins
Park Staff Uniform Pants – 99 coins
Cotton Candy – 133 coins

I was surprised by how big the mascot and elephant plushie were! I like that the balloons that park mascot holds are animated.  The cutout is also fun and Momo likes peeking out from behind it.  She also likes riding the bumper car!
